I love going to watch sports games. Especially, I like to watch soccer matches. When I was in middle school, I attended my first soccer game. My dad received 4 tickets to the 2002 World Cup soccer game from his company. During that year, Korea was doing really well in the World Cup games. My mom, dad, older sister and I attended the soccer game. We dressed up in red T-shirts and my sister painted the Korean flag on my face. My dad purchased some thunder sticks and my mom bought a large Korean flag to hang around her shoulder like a cape. It was the game against Portugal. During that game, the opposing team got many yellow cards and even got a red card. Our team did really well in that game. It was so exciting to see my favorite players playing on the field. It was also very fun to be a part of the crowd. The Korean fans were all cheering together as one and they made a lot of noise to cheer for our team. A lot of people in the crowd were screaming, some were crying tears of joy, and others were hugging the people around them. I felt great to be a part of that historical sports event. After the game, my family went out to the streets and it was full of people cheering and screaming. After a long time waiting for the people to clear out, we went home and celebrated our victory. It was an unforgettable game watching experience.
