Today question

 

Do you talk with your neighbors? What do you talk about with your neighbors? How often do you talk with your neighbors? Please describe a time you had a memorable conversation with your neighbors.

Useful Expression

1. Because I am so busy, I usually leave my apartment early in the morning and come back so late at night.

Sample Answer

Because I am so busy, I usually leave my apartment early in the morning and come back so late at night. Therefore, I don’t see my neighbors often. I usually talk to some neighbors during the weekends. Whenever I am in the elevator, I often greet them so it’s not so awkward during the elevator ride. We don’t talk about anything special because it is usually just short greetings to one another. I do remember a time when I had a decent conversation with my  neighbor. We have a television in the elevator and it plays ads of businesses in our neighborhood. One time, a neighbor asked me if I went to one of the restaurants on the ad. I told him I didn’t go and he told me that I have to go there at least once because it was the best restaurant he has ever been too. So I asked him what he liked about the restaurant and he told me that the food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the service was excellent. I thanked him for the tip and I went there with my girlfriend that same night and we loved it! Now, it’s one of my favorite re staurants. I never saw that neighbor again, but next time that I do, I’ll make sure to thank him.

이웃과 괜찮은 대화를 했던 때가 기업 납니다 . 엘리베이터 있는 텔레비전에서는 동네 가게들의 광고가 나오고 있었습니다 . 한번은 , 나의 이웃이 저에게 광고에 나오는 식당에 가 본 적이 있는지를 물어 보았습니다 . 제가 가 본 적이 없다고 하자 그는 자기가 가 본 식당 중 최고라고 꼭 한번 가보라고 하였습니다 . 왜 그 식당이 좋은지 물어보니 음식이 맛이 있고 , 가격이 적절하며 서비스가 최고라고 말하였습니다 .

그의 조언에 감사를 표하고 , 저는 그날 저녁에 여자친구와 그 식당을 방문하였는데 식당이 정말로 좋았습니다 . 그 식당은 지금도 제가 좋아하는 식당 중의 하나입니다 . 이후 그 이웃을 만나지는 못했지만 , 나중에 다시 만나면 꼭 감사하다고 말할 것입니다 .
